I set up Fortuis Media Ltd after a rich and varied career, first as a sports and business journalist and then in public relations where I won awards for full service campaigns and business-to-business publications.

We are a Bristol-based consultancy offering a range of essential services – from copywriting/editing and other publishing functions to strategic consultancy and stakeholder/media relations. We also run training courses to help clients develop their own skills in these areas.

As media and communications advisers to the Wessex Reserve Forces & Cadets Association and working with the Army itself, we are heavily involved in promoting the expansion of the Army Reserve, also in raising awareness of the uniformed cadet organisations.

Three years’ experience in providing content creation, writing and editing skills to the Technology Strategy Board has given us a key role to play in their current rebranding as ‘Innovate UK’ and we have also supported clients as diverse as boutique law firm Roxburgh Milkins and Bath Rugby.

I maintain my own journalistic skills by reporting on rugby union at first-class level and have written a two-part history of the Bath club. The second volume, After The Lemons, was a finalist in the national Sports Book of the Year Awards 2011.
